Dave graduated from Ball State University with an exercise science B.S. degree. He played college division I baseball at Ball State for 4 years. Dave did his internship at South Bend Memorial Hospital with emphasis in Cardiac Rehabilitation I, II, III, and general exercise prescription. In1989 Dave started working at SCAC as an exercise specialist then was promoted to general manager in 1995. In 2001 he moved to California but returned to Indiana with his wife Heike in 2002 working as a personal trainer and fitness counselor. Dave has 18 years of experience in the fitness industry.
 
Text Box: •Jessie has a Masters Degree in Public Administration with an emphasis in Health Policy and received her personal training certification through NETA.  Jessie’s initial focus was in nutrition as she has maintained her own weight loss for over ten years.  Her focus has now shifted to personal fitness. She has been a part of group fitness classes for over fifteen years and for the past 6 years has taught pilates, circuit training and general wellness training for all levels of fitness.

Andrea has a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from IUPUI. Her group exercise experience includes 4 years of kickboxing, step aerobics, circuit training, muscle conditioning, yoga and pilates. She has four years of personal training experience including children through the elderly, the morbidly obese population, pregnant women, and with professional athletes.

Mike has been a long time member at SCAC. Although he has personally been involved with weight training for over 20 years he has recently received his certification from Aerobics and Fitness Association of America. Mike plans to focus his time at SCAC in Personal Training  working with members in their exercise routines. In addition to Personal Training he will be available at the 24 hour fitness express some mornings through out the week.

Kayla is currently working on her internship through SCAC and will receive her  national certification in the spring of 2008.  Kayla also is the floor coach in the Women's Center and  teaches Piloga. 

 

Kyra recently finished her SCAC certification and is working on getting her national certification.  Kyra has taught 3 years of aquatics, including aerobics, toning and arthritis relief.  She also is the instructor for SCAC swim lessons.  Kyra has worked in a fitness center for 8 years.

 

   
Al has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Ball State and has 30 years of Business Management experience. He has been involved with Racquetball for 30 years from individual playing to coaching the Indiana Junior Racquetball Team and was a Indiana State Racquetball Association Board member and Officer for 5 years. Al has been either a member or an employee with SCAC since 1989.  Al started instructing aerobics in Jan. 06 and has a Group Aerobics certification and a Personal Training certification both through NETA. He is currently coaching 30 participants through the Lose It With Al weight loss program in which he developed.
